Two B'desh 'cattle lifters' lynched

Two suspected cattle lifters were killed in a lynch-mob attack at Bariabah in Kaliakair upazila early Saturday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

Locals said when a gang of cattle lifters entered Abdur Samad's house local people chased them hearing hue and cry of the inmates of the house.

They managed to catch two of the cattle lifters and gave them a good thrashing, leaving one dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured man was taken to Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the body. Police will take legal action after investigating the incident, said Alamgir Majumdar, officer-in-charge of Kaliakair Police Station.
