Centum Investments Director Christopher John Kirubi has revealed that he was sicker than Bob Collymore the last time he came to visit him at his home in Nairobi.

Kirubi was speaking to journalists outside the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi during the requiem mass of the departed Safaricom boss. 

He eulogized Bob as a man who transformed the telecommunications giant.

"Much better but sad, yeah because the last time I was with Bob, he came to see me at my house, I was sicker than him. And now to find that we are losing him and this is the kind of event that we are having is even sad occasion," Kirubi said in a video shared on YouTube.

"But we must not forget Bob's principles, what he did to develop a company that was second to none," he added.

The business magnet who was a close friend to Bob Collymore is also battling with cancer.

He was among the list of high profile figures who turned up for the requiem mass on Thursday.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto were also present.
